This simple move requires that you move your hand, a hat, or anything toward the camera right at the lens. To complete the move, take the same object and place it close to the lens. Then pull it away to reveal your new location.

The whip move is a camera twist from left to right or right to left.  To begin the move twist your camera either left or right. Then, to come into your new scene twist the camera into position to reveal the new scene.

Make a sound and cut to your new clip at that point. The combination of sound and picture change gives your viewer an understandable transition. The sound can be a clap, finger snap or any sound you choose.

Rather than twist the camera from a central point, the camera wipe requires that the camera be moving from side to side or up and down. For wipes to work well a gimbal or other stabilizer will come in handy.

Simply turn your camera upward to the sky and then back down from the sky to reveal your new scene. This is similar to the left/right swipe but this method lets you use the sky (or the ground) as a point for transition.

This is another tip that will require your cameraman to move. Simply move the camera toward an object or person and then to reveal your new scene move the camera away from the same subject to the reveal your new location.

This time your camera stays still and your subject moves out of frame, the new scene is revealed and then your subject moves back into frame. Just keep the camera still and the horizon line in the same place and that’s it..
